About the Department
‘‘Physical education and sports department is not only contributes to overall goals of education but also to the development and maintenance of fitness, motor skills, social skills, health and brain development by providing psychomotor, cognitive and affective benefits. With such point of view this department is an important sector of curriculum.’’ The department of Physical Education and Sports was established in 2000.
VISION
To provide a fertile ground and sports facilities to young minds to strengthen the foundation of their future lives by giving them knowledge, physical skills and tactics.
MISSION
To provide excellent facilities and conductive atmosphere for students to nurture their fit and fine physique. To promote sports by organizing and participating in various sports activities. To provide innovative programs and opportunities for students to explore their talent in sports.
OBJECTIVES
To promote the participation of students in various sports activities throughout the year. To promote various games, sports and recreational activities. To develop competencies necessary for physical training and coaching. To evoke true spirit of “Citius- Altius- Fortius”. (Higher, Faster and stronger)
