“Sanskar Mandir Sanstha” was established in 1988. The main purpose for which the society was founded by Mr. Dilip Barate is to enable and encourage the youngsters to face the challenges of rapid urbanisation taking place around. Being extensively involved in various social and cultural activities our president is a well known personality for his significant political contribution also. He closely witnessed all the major changes that Pune as a city went through and understood the importance of higher education in the whole process of development. His sole aim was to bring the children of farmers and workers into the mainstream and prepare them to play a significant role in the transformation of a small town into the happening metro city.

About the College

SMACC is located in Warje, a suburb around 6km towards Western Pune. One of the important PMT bus stops called Ganapati Matha is at the door of the college. This makes it a place extremely convenient for anyone commuting to the college from any side of the city. The college has been accredited for the first cycle by NAAC and awarded ‘C’ grade. SMACC has a tradition of excellence in academics, sports and extracurricular activities such as elocution and debate competitions taking place all over Maharashtra. Besides this, almost all teaching staff of the college hold Ph.D in their respective subjects and some of them are research guides too. Being situated in the place like Warje that connects many western villages to Pune the college proves to be extremely convenient to the students seeking higher education in the faculties such as Arts and Commerce.
